Fallingwater Restoration Project

This rehabilitation and stabilization project not only involved improvements Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater, but also to the surrounding grounds maintained by the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy. Similar to other projects, the Authority served as the administrating agency for the project’s RACP grant, which totaled $3.5 million.

Fallingwater has become an integral part of Pennsylvania's $27 billion tourism industry. Since opening to the public in 1964, Fallingwater has hosted over 3 million tourists and now operates at capacity -- approximately 140,000 annual visitors. The home draws visitors from outside Western Pennsylvania who often visit other popular attractions in the region.
