The project is now complete and the 14,000 square foot Interpretive Education Center provides visitors with information regarding the National Battlefield and surrounding tourism attractions. By providing maps and customized itineraries, the Center promotes visitation by tourists to other attractions in the region, including heritage tourist destinations along the National Road.  The Center opened October 8, 2005 and has been successful in accomplishing its' mission.
