The Authority recently received a request from the Fort Necessity National Battlefield to serve as the applicant for the organization’s anticipated RACP appropriation from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The project involves the construction of an Interpretive Education Center which will provide visitors to our region with information regarding the National Battlefield and surrounding tourism attractions. By providing maps and customized itineraries, the Center will promote visitation by tourists to other attractions in the region, including heritage tourist destinations along the National Road.
