A bulk of the Redevelopment Authority's activities involve the improvement and expansion of the County's infrastructure. While the Authority has been implementing various infrastructure projects since its inception in 1949, perhaps the most significant investment in public improvement projects began in 1985 with the advent of the Community Development Bock Grant (CDBG) Small Communities Program.
Since that time, the Redevelopment Authority has successfully utilized CDBG funds on an annual basis to leverage other resources to help expand and enhance the County's infrastructure.
