Serving as the principal Community Development agency in the County, the Redevelopment Authority routinely becomes involved in special projects and initiatives designed to help improve Fayette County.  Several of these projects and initiatives relate directly to economic development, community redevelopment, heritage tourism, recreation, and planning and facilitation.  The Authority’s involvement in these initiatives ranges from engaging in project planning and proposal preparation activities to direct administration and project implementation.

Some of the special projects and initiatives recently undertaken by the Redevelopment Authority include:
